DEI Pizza™

A facilitated learning activity that uses a familiar structure to make complex inclusion concepts easier to see and discuss.

← Back to the homepage
DEI Pizza™ uses the familiar structure of a pizza to make the distinct roles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging visible. The activity gives groups a shared language for examining which ingredients are present, which are missing, and how those pieces work together in an organization.
What it does

Make an abstract system visible enough to talk about.

The activity turns broad inclusion language into something groups can examine together. Instead of treating diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as interchangeable words, participants can discuss how each plays a different role and what happens when one is missing.

DEI Pizza™ is part of the broader inclusion portfolio behind my current neuroinclusion work, and reflects the same design instinct that appears in later frameworks: make the system visible, give people usable language, then examine what the system is actually doing.
